Mediterráneo Golf hosted the second round of the “Locos por el Golf” circuit that was awarded to Valeriano Barberá and Juan C. Tomás

Last Saturday, the Golf Trophy, as usual, was held at the second trophy of the “Locos por el Golf” circuit, a circuit that is already a classic in the Valencian Community. The participants divided into first and second category, went to shot at 9 o’clock to do a round of 18 holes where they would not only play to get the first two places of each category but also had at stake, the longest drive and the most close both on the 12th hole and the 16th.

In addition there was a succulent prize of 4000 euros for those who managed to make a “hole in one”. With so many things at stake the championship did not disappoint. In the first category the champion was Valeriano Barberá with a total of 36 points ahead of Stephane de Francia who would be only one point away from the victory. In second category the clear winner was Juan Carlos Tomás with 43 points and after him with 38 was followed by José Ignacio Segarra to take second place in the standings. Vicente Bellido was the winner of the award for the nearest ball on the 16th hole while Antonio Viedma did it on the 12th hole. The longest drive was awarded to Borja Medrano. However, no one managed to take a shot so the 4000 euro pot remains intact for the next circuit test.

The second tournament of the Locos Por el Golf circuit ended at noon with the presentation of trophies and a fantastic prize draw. The next stop of the circuit will take place on March 14 at the El Bosque Golf Club.
