Golf federation members with a valid license, amateur and professional players (except Basque federation members and temporary licenses – they have their own policy).

What does it cover?
Accidents suffered on golf courses associated with the RFEG:

During sports practice (competition or training) and; As drivers of a golf buggy

What is an accident?
A specific, violent, sudden external trauma unrelated to the intentions of the member, provided that it is not due to chronic and/or pre-existing injuries, chronic diseases or pathologies derived from the habitual practice of the sport, due to repeated microtraumas, such as chronic tendinitis and bursitis, osteoarthritis or arthritis, herniated discs, and in general any degenerative pathology and myocardial infarction and angina pectoris, provided that these occur on the field of play during the sporting practice or, subsequently to this, in the facilities of the club or sports venue.

What is not covered?
Accidents diagnosed as:

• – chronic and/or pre-existing injuries,
• – chronic illnesses or pathologies resulting from the regular practice of sport,
• – repeated microtrauma, tendinitis, chronic bursitis, osteoarthritis or arthritis,
• – herniated discs,
• – In general, any degenerative pathology

The initial medical report (diagnosis) will be decisive in Allianz’s decision regarding coverage . In other words, the accident policy will not cover the claim if the doctor’s initial report indicates that the policyholder has any of these pre-existing conditions.

Furthermore, it does not cover accidents suffered:

• – as a passenger in a golf buggy
• – golf cart accidents
